Matching Counselors to Services

Admissions Consulting: KENCareers staff collectively has a vast experience in admissions and we are more than happy to share that with you. To start with, students will submit their resume and academic information. And then we'll match you with one of our consultants. The students then will discuss their personal background, goals, options, extracurricular activities, community service, and concerns and weaknesses with the consultant who will guide their approach to the application process.

KENCareers has answers to all your queries related to admissions like:

-Picking schools: Where should you apply? What are your chances at top schools?

-Understanding your admissions outline: How can you make the most of your achievements and distinctive background?

-Overcoming flaws: How can you overcome negatives in your profile? How can you distinguish yourself from the competition?

-Long-term planning: Is graduate school the right decision for you? What other programs should you consider?

Resume' Building

The resume is typically the first item that the admissions committee will look at when reviewing applications. And frequently, it's from this quick resume once-over that they develop their first impression of you. You want this to be an amazing first experience; one that will induce them to keep reading, not because they need to, but because they genuinely want to get to know you better.

Our Resume service will help students:

-Organize & present their credentials/work experience & education background

-Highlight most remarkable achievements/experiences

-Address any gaps or discrepancies in their timeline

-Show that students experience matches the requirements of the target program.

-Saves their valuable time

How Does this work?

It is typically a 2 step process; where we will:

Step 1: Review the content of students resume, help them highlight key experiences/achievements, and give them recommendations for revision.

Step 2: Edit students resume for style, grammar, and precision after they revise based on Step 1.Admissions Consulting: KENCareers staff collectively has a vast experience in admissions and we are more than happy to share that with you. Essays

KENCareers offers you 2 ESSAY/Statement of Purpose plans;

Elementary & All-inclusive.

-Elementary Plan:

If you don't need comprehensive, start-to-finish Essay assistance, but need help perfecting a draft you already have, then we recommend our Elementary plan. This way, you only pay for what you need.

This is what it includes:

The consultant will review your Essay and check for overall readability and interest. He/She checks if you have:

-Answered the question.

-Presented your-self uniquely.

-Organized your statement of purpose logically.

-Developed attractive openings and effective conclusions.

The consultant then provides you with feedback and recommends ways to improve. You revise and send the revised versions back. Although the consultant checks the macro level, he/she focuses on the micro, specifically clarity, grammar, style, spelling, and word usage. He/She then sends you drafts with suggested corrections.

All-inclusive Plan:

This is what it includes:

The student introduces herself/himself to the consultant thru a questionnaire. After reviewing the questionnaire, the consultant meets with the student on the phone or Skype to get to know them better and discuss the best way to present their qualifications in their essay. During this brainstorming session, you will discuss a core idea, important experiences to include in the essay, and a structure for the essay.

An outline for the students essay based on the brainstorming session; the outline consists of prompts and bullet points. It is NOT a draft. The outline gives the students direction they need to write, save time, and eventually help them produce a grander final result.

Editing; the consultant checks the students essay for precision, grammar, style, spelling, and word usage; then sends the student a draft with suggested improvements. The student will revise it & send it back to the consultant. You then go back and forth editing and revising this essay until you are happy with it.

You can then write the letter & send it back to your Consultant for review.

With KENCareers Letter of Recommendation service, you can save yourself significant time and hassle & still submit a powerful recommendation for the applicant you want to help.

Evaluating the content of your letter/waitlist constituents; you then review the letter based on the feedback you receive.

Edit the reviewed letter, checking precision, style, grammar, word usage, and spelling.

Review Application Rejection

It’s very difficult to accept that last rejection and face the fact that you have not been accepted at any of the schools you applied to. At KENCareers we help you to start figuring out what went wrong this time so that you'll be successful next time you apply.

Your consultant at KENCareers will review your admissions profile to identify weaknesses and ways to assuage them.

Your consultant will review one application looking for flaws in a presentation that you can fix when you reapply.

Your consultant will suggest a plan for moving forward – advice you on how to improve the various features of your application (essays, resume, interview, letters of rec, etc.), handle weaknesses, and highlight your distinctive strengths.
